Join us every third Thursday of the month to get together and have meaningful discussions with other stroke survivors.
Each meeting will feature a guest speaker who will touch upon different topics related to stroke and stroke recovery.
This month’s guest speaker will be Julie Torrence, MSOT, LCSW, Inpatient Patient and Family Counselor at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab. The topic of our discussion will be Coping with the After Effects of a Stroke. Julie provides individual and family counseling to people primarily affected by Traumatic Brain Injury and Stroke. Prior to joining Shirley Ryan, Julie maintained a private psychotherapy practice working with adults. Her work experience also includes over 20 years as an occupational therapist in neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation.
