The goal of the STARS project is to develop machine-learning algorithms that quantify impairments and function that impact gait and balance, using datasets obtained from advanced wearable sensors in individuals with stroke.

Individuals who have had a stroke often experience difficulty walking within their homes and in the community. Current literature indicates that chronic walking deficits increase fall risk, reduce quality of life, and significantly lower levels of independence in stroke survivors.

This study aims to validate a proposed solution that will provide users a practical way to adjust their exoskeleton/bionic suit's gait to precisely achieve their navigational goals.

The purpose of this study is to test the use of a system that can read the pressure pattern on the foot and ¡°map¡± that pattern to another part of the body (i.e., legs, arms, or back).

A panelist shares his own experience of working before and after acquiring a disability including his perspectives on how to successfully navigate corporate policies and practices. Panelists share resources and information on how to successfully support return to work on job retention for individuals with disabilities.

The mission of the Rehabilitation ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ÊÓƵ and Training Center (RRTC) on Employment for People with Physical Disabilities is to research and promote positive employment outcomes for people with physical disabilities.

This project will develop and test HCBS outcome measures.

This project will identify promising HCBS practices and specific service-delivery competencies.

This project will develop and HCBS intervention.

The researchers will focus on variability in depressed mood and quality of life among stroke survivors, and social support, a protective factor with a potential buffering effect on daily function and mood.

A technical assistance consultation and help desk is available, to provide information and resources related to employment of people with physical disabilities, training, and outcome measures, to people with disabilities, service providers, consumer advocates, employers, researchers, educators, students, and clinicians.
