Pivot to Telehealth During the Pandemic Kept Shirley Ryan Ðǿմ«Ã½ÊÓÆµ Patients Connected to Therapists
By late March 2020, Shirley Ryan Ðǿմ«Ã½ÊÓÆµ had pivoted to a completely new telehealth model that affected the roughly 800 patients who were using the DayRehab Centers at the hospital¡¯s downtown location and suburban sites.

Jennifer Pearlstein: Using Psychology to Help Improve the Lives of People with Disabilities
After finishing her PhD, Pearlstein stayed on at UW for a post-doctoral fellowship with her mentor Dawn Ehde, PhD, who is currently directing a project funded through the Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Ðǿմ«Ã½ÊÓÆµ (CROR) at Shirley Ryan Ðǿմ«Ã½ÊÓÆµ. Ehde and Pearlstein are looking into whether CBT can help people with chronic pain cope and feel better.

Shirley Ryan Ðǿմ«Ã½ÊÓÆµ to Lead International Investigation of Length of Rehabilitation Stay After Spinal Cord Injury and Associated Outcomes
Shirley Ryan Ðǿմ«Ã½ÊÓÆµ has received a $4.2 million, 5-year grant from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Ðǿմ«Ã½ÊÓÆµ (NIDILRR) to lead an international study exploring how differences in inpatient rehabilitation length of stay (LOS) after spinal cord injury (SCI) affect the experiences and long-term outcomes of people with SCI.
